Pearl Jam to play Ottawa again…
Pearl Jam, the grunge kings who have a history of epic concerts in Ottawa, are returning to the capital.
The Seattle band will play the Canadian Tire Centre on May 8. They played the arena in 2011 and 2005, with three-hour sets and rave reviews.
Pearl Jam exploded onto the rock and roll scene in 1991 with the debut album 10, which included the monster hits Alive and Jeremy. The hits just kept coming — Daughter, Better Man, Corduroy, Wishlist and others.
Ticket prices for the May 8 show have not yet been announced, but tickets go on sale at noon Friday, Jan. 29, through CapitalTickets.ca, by phone at 613-599-3267 or 1-877-788-3267, or at the CTC box office, select Canadian Tire stores, the Sens Store and Sports Experts.
The band will also play Quebec City May 5 and Toronto May 10.
