Mobile LG G4 Android 6.0 Marshmallow update
Now it’s only AT&T and Verizon that have yet to release the update to LG G4 owners.
We’ve already seen the LG G4 and LG G3 rolled out with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow for them in different parts of the globe – now all eyes are on the LG G2. However, using LG-Bridge seems easy enough, so if you need Marshmallow in a hurry, you can now do so. The process seems rather straightforward, at least in terms of using PC software to update your smartphone.
As we have been saying all the time, LG is quite active with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update and has been sending it out to its phones slowly now.
Right now, this particular build will carry the version number H801120i, which will bring along with it a fair number of enhancements and improvements. The only requirements for downloading the update are a data connection (obviously), 50% or higher battery life (that’s reasonable) and 963MB of free space (again, obviously). T-Mobile is the third United States carrier to update its G4 variant to Android 6.0 after Sprint and USA cellular, and, in case you’re wondering, we’re talking about the H811 model. For those who would prefer to perform manual checks after waiting in vain for a notification, do the usual by selecting “Settings”, and going through the following sequence of choices: About Phone – Update Center – System Updates – Check for Update. Otherwise, you will just have to wait for the OTA update to actually arrive. Do so, and then only proceed with the OTA update.
